Now that you have your Ad-Aware SE's program database up to date; it's time to start searching for spyware.
Step 1: On the main screen of Ad-Aware SE you will see a start button (highlighted in red) click this button.
Step 2:Now you need to select the type of scan you want to do. You will want to perform a full system scan (highlighted in red). Once you have that selected click next.
Step 3: This is what your window should look like. Ad-Aware SE is now scanning your computer for harmful spyware programs. This process may take a while.
Step 4: Once your computer has found harmful spyware programs it will display it in the portion of the window highlighted in red. The spyware is labeled as New Critical Objects.
Step 5: Once your computer has finished searching the window will look like this. Click next (highlighted in red).
Step 6: A new window will appear showing you all the spyware Ad-Aware SE found. Now you need to right click and select all objects (highlighted in red).
Step 7: Once all the spyware programs are selected click next (highlighted in red) to remove the spyware programs.
Step 8: A dialog box will appear telling you how many objects will be removed, and asking you if you wish to continue, click OK (highlighted in red).
